FERRARI TESTAROSSA

1990

Registration F12 TSR

Power output   385bhp | Top speed 180mph

Engine: 4.9 litre, 12 cylinder, DOHC

Owner: Peter Hogan FRICS – www.blacktestarossa.com

This is a very rare, Italian motor car.

This Testarossa is a 12-cylinder, mid-engine sports car, designed by Pininfarina and the last black, right hand, Ferrari Testarossa to be sold at auction, worldwide, was 5+ years ago with over 200 other variations sold since.

Well-known Testarossa owners included, O.J. Simpson, Mike Tyson, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Michael Jordan, M.C. Hammer and Don Johnson (who famously drove a white Testarossa in Miami Vice, and was later gifted a silver Testarossa by Enzo Ferrari).

Produced from 1984 to 1991, it has a naturally aspirated 4.9 litre, 180° flat, 12 cylinder engine (with 48 valves)  which will accelerate from 0–62 mph in 5.8 seconds and from 0–100 mph in 11.4 seconds and, accelerating, it has the vicious intoxicating sound of a formula one car.

The engine has a maximum power of 385 horse power at 6,300 rpm and maximum torque of 361 lbft at 4,500 rpm (the engine is removed (lowered) for a 30 hour service every 3 years!)

Testarossa means “red head” which refers to the traditionally red, painted cylinder heads.

F12 TSR is part of the Hogan Racing Collection - hoganracing.com #hoganracinglondon
